Anyone want to do one? I could use something to draw right about now.
Happy belated birthday, SeanHicks!
I’d like to think that if things were different, we still wouldn’t be sure where we were going. Here’s hoping the future brings some direction and gnarly, rad times.
Welcome to the new official home page for “Project Emerl”, an animated series!
…Well, it’s not an animated series quite yet, to be honest. We are currently emerging out of pre-production and are heading towards producing a pilot for the concept. However, after a year and a half of work in our free time, the foundation is approaching completion and we’re starting to move into the next stage: bringing these goofy characters to life!
Here, you’ll find us posting stuff about the project, including filling you in on what the heck this show is about, what we have developed so far for the characters and the world they inhabit, and so much more. We’ll be putting up animation tests, concept artwork and all of that good stuff as we continue to develop the concept and push towards a pilot episode. If we need more helping hands while producing this concept, you can be sure that we’ll also make a post here and on our Facebook page detailing what we need help with and how to apply.
We hope you’ll be interested in sticking around and keeping up with our humble project!
-Nick Kalmar (Piggybank), Project Director
We set up Tumblr and Facebook pages completely dedicated to Project Emerl! Feel free to follow these pages if you wish to receive more updates on this gigantic project! I might post bigger updates on my art blog now and then (including job openings when needed), but I’m going to try and keep a majority of the Emerl-related updates over on the new pages from now on.
Go ahead and check this out, guys. Nick’s been planning this out for quite some time and it’d be awesome to finally see this get into production.
Here’s a preview of one bee out of a handful that I’m making for a YouTube channel in which some friends and I play geems and are depicted by bees. I’ll probably go back and touch it up more, but I really oughtta be(e) working on the next ones.
For my new machine’s maiden voyage into art, I drew a friend’s character that I should’ve drawn a long time ago.
After saving for a few paychecks and hammering out my first build, I can finally begin being more active on here as well as other places like Skype.
My lappy was on the fritz and I plan to get that fixed soon, but I took this opportunity to take a shot at building a PC, and so far it’s performed great. I might do an art stream soon or something.
It’s been a good day.
Thank you Seth. He is beautiful, and I hope he conquers his bee nightmares.
Thank you so much for being an awesome friend.
Aah guys look at this! It’s Antsy and a bee, two very important things that defined 2013. It’s bee-autiful.
Thank you, Kaipo, very much. Happy Chrumbas.
